Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Conduct of Operations Specialist to join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.
BACKGROUND
The Conduct of Operations (ConOps) team is dedicated to support the WIPP in its vision to be the model of Operational Excellence and project management. ConOps ensures management systems are designed to anticipate and mitigate the consequences of human fallibility or latent organizational weaknesses and provide a vital barrier to unwanted outcomes.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the ConOps organization mission of continuous improvement and building a capacity for resiliency. Provides ConOps and Human Performance Improvement expertise, collaborates across the WIPP enterprise to enable best practices, coaching and positive reinforcement and provides guidance through development, implementation and validation of continuous improvement applications.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of this position can be categorized: 1) coaching and mentoring to align vision and strategy for Operational Excellence, 2) assessing compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies, and 3) developing and delivering training. Minimum salary $94,706 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
