Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.
Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Buyer to join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.
The successful candidate will support a wide variety of standard procurement activities. Negotiate, award, and administer subcontracts and purchase orders in Firm-Fixed Price, Time and Material, Labor Hour and Cost Reimbursement environments. Responsible for all aspects of subcontract administration. Interface with technical organizations in development of pre-procurement plans, statements or work, and costs estimates. Negotiate, place, and administer purchase orders and modifications with suppliers for materials and services following established policies and procedures. Prepare written procurement documents such as justification for award, negotiation memorandums, and cost/price analysis.

Minimum salary $60,673 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
