Instrumentation and Control Maintenance Supervisor (ME) - SSCVS

Department: MU-MA I&C Maint
Location: Carlsbad, NM

Instrumentation and Control Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor provides direct technical support to Zone Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. Provide direction to and oversight of craft personnel in the field. Interface with craft, operations, and engineering personnel on a routine basis to support continued plant operations. Act as site technical representative to subcontractors. Ensure maintenance activities conform to all applicable DOE, MSHA, OSHA, and New Mexico Mining Code requirements and site procedures. Perform routine inspections of field equipment and systems for proper operations and identify any deficiencies. Knowledgeable with Fire Alarm Systems maintenance is preferred but not a requirement. Will be required to act as Supervisor when Zone Manager and Supervisor are unavailable.

Exempt Salary Grade (28-32)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Eight (8) years of instrumentation including but not limited to electrical/electronic/pneumatic and hydraulic experience with HS diploma.
  • Four (4) years of instrumentation including but not limited to electrical/electronic/pneumatic and hydraulic experience with Associate's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • One year of instrumentation including but not limited to electrical/electronic/pneumatic and hydraulic experience with Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Preferred Requirements:

  • The preferred candidate will have strengths in performance of equipment/system troubleshooting activities. Identify and analyze equipment/system failures to the component level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and experience with complex computer database applications.

Starting salary $67,817 per year *

*Base salary will be dependent upon candidate's background (i.e. education and experience)
